The acquisition of the property at 1 Tranquility Street in Port of Spain by the People’s National Movement dates back to 1962, as documented in Deed No. 6045 of 1962. Following its purchase, the property underwent renovations, culminating in the official opening of Balisier House on April 22, 1963.
In 2019, the leading political party of the country initiated extensive restoration efforts on this now historically significant structure. As depicted in these recent images, the restoration works are nearly concluded. Balisier House is anticipated to be formally reopened in the coming weeks.
