Madame Speaker, thank you for allowing me privilege to articulate, the contribution of the constituents of Tunapuna in this debate on the 2018 Appropriations Bill or in common language, the 2018 Budget.
Madame Speaker congratulations are due to the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Planning and their teams for the preparation and presentation, even the title which is most appropriate: Changing the paradigm: Putting the economy on a sustainable path”.
Madame Speaker, in listening to the comments and contributions in this honourable house and in the domain of the general public, one of the things that struck me was the manner in which the 2018 Appropriation Bill was being viewed and the expressed understanding of the purpose and positioning of the Budget.
