Ladies and gentlemen, in keeping with your organization’s operations manual, the Holy Bible at Proverbs: 22:6 states-“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
I must applaud your initiative given the current prevailing environment and the contributions of our children either by commission or omission. However, I must emphasize, that your operations manual no way states that the children are given to the state (Government) as a matter of fact; it states that the responsibility of Government is on the shoulder of the church. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not to absolve the institution of which I am a part of, no way.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I must congratulate the World Assemblies Deliverance Church in their thrust back to the future, leading the way that others should follow post-haste.
This centre would provide a safe, supervised as well as a structural teaching environment to strengthen the students’ academic skills. The teachers would be creating a fun atmosphere, where students can complete their homework and improve their study habits.
It should be noted that two things are emphasized for improvement: Skills and Habits
- Skills speak of - Expertness, practised ability and dexterity.
- Habits speak of - Automatic reaction to specific situation; settled tendency or practise; do regularly
Your actions as an organization would assist the people of this community and those who are in contact with this community and rebound to the benefit of our nation of attaining one of the goals of your operations manual as stated in (2Tim 3:17 [KJV]) - That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Ladies and gentlemen, I am not naive, in thinking or belief that these interventions come without a cost. These, initiative and operations require resources; and when I speak of resources, I speak not only of funding but materials and human resources. This is where, we as a people and community must play our part. Too often, many of us possess resources which are underutilised or even abuse that can be better utilised by engaging with and or contributing to initiative as this. In general, we have challenges when “Government/State” funds are directly utilised, we never seem to get value for money and inefficiencies multiply as bacteria. However, when initiatives as these are grounded in a community their efficacy are exponentially improved and the consistency and continuity is almost guaranteed.
Therefore, I
must again congratulate the World Assemblies Deliverance Church on the
successful operationalization of one of your organization’s goal of
training your children. I must wish you all success in this endeavour;
at the same time please allow me the privilege of sometime in the
future, to request your organization’s assistance in the propagation and
improvement of similar initiative now being undertaken in the
constituency of Tunapuna. You have a template and I am sure an
inventory of lessons learnt. There is no need to reinvent the wheel,
but we all can certainly improve it and adapt it for the specific
environment or location. Therefore, I know with the guiding light
of the almighty, a willing people we would all see our children succeed
and the environment change and improve for all. The people who know
their God shall do great exploits.
Once again congratulations
