Aligned with the Trinidad and Tobago Strategic Plan for 2022 - 2024, the Police Youth Clubs actively contribute to the strategic priority area of Community Partnership. This strategic focus aims to build strong relationships with the community, fostering collaboration between citizens and the police to prevent crime and enhance public safety.
The recent swimming initiative, a testament to this commitment, is a collaborative effort between Sixth Form student Levi Birch from BATCE, who volunteered an impressive 100 hours of Community Service, and the St. Joseph Police Youth Club. This initiative is specifically designed to strengthen Community Engagement by revitalizing youth development interventions provided by the Police Youth Clubs and Hearts and Minds.
In the words of Coordinator/Coach Levi Birch, "This successful swimming initiative is a crucial step towards our shared goal of community development. By actively participating and contributing to such programs, we are #onboardservice, #onboardwithforde, and collectively working towards the betterment of Tunapuna."
The participation of M.P. Tunapuna as a special speaker underscores the importance placed on youth development and community engagement. We applaud the dedication of all involved in making this initiative a success, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration within our communities.
